THUNDER BAY — A weapons call turned into a robbery arrest for city police.

TBPS (Thunder Bay Police Service) responded to a call for service early Wednesday morning around 1:30 a.m. along Arthur Street West.

Police had received reports of a possible weapons incident.

When officers responded, they spoke to the complainant and learned that a male had allegedly threatened the complainant, demanded their wallets and claimed to have a weapon.

The complainant was able to flee from the suspect and contact 911.

Police located a 22-year-old man matching the suspect's description and arrested him without incident.
