LONGLAC, Ont. – The crash that closed Highway 11 for almost 12 hours this weekend was fatal.
The three-vehicle crash, which involved two transport trucks and a passenger car, happened just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening about 75 kilometres east of Longlac.
The OPP say the car, which was heading east, collided with a west bound transport. The car was then hit head on by another transport.
The driver of the car, 40-year-old Shane Semple from Orleans, Ont., was killed.
The highway remained closed until 6 a.m. Sunday morning when it was reopened to one lane.
