What’s Poppin’: August 18, 2024

Sunday:

On Sunday, the 7th annual Kakabecka Falls Half Marathon and 8k start at 7 a.m. at the Legion.

Thunder Bay Autocross will have its annual fundraiser for Northern Cancer Care at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center. Setup will be at 9 a.m. and racing will start by 11 a.m.

All Weekend Long:

Anishinaabe Keeshigun will be from and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Fort William Historical Park. It will be a free weekend, filled with entertainment, hands on activities and demonstrations that highlight Anishinaabe culture, traditions, language, and technology. This year’s event will also include a Pow Wow and a community feast.

The Murillo Fair will be going on all weekend with admission at $5 per person. They will be open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. There will be tons going on at 4559 Oliver Road this weekend!
