Sports: 

The Kam River Fighting Walleye are facing off against the Wisconsin Lumberjacks today at 7:30 p.m. at Northwest Arena, a short drive out of Highway 11/17 to Highway 588 in Stanley. Get your tickets here! 

Markets: 

The Thunder Bay Country Market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition: 425 Northern Ave. head on down to buy local groceries, crafts, and gifts from the talented, hard-working local people who created them. 

The Peddlers Pop-up Market is happening at the hub Bazaar on Victoria Ave East from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The hub Bazaar is a business incubator with anchor vendors and pop-up peddlers every Saturday! There's a cafe eatery and even a museum! 

Family Day Weekend Activities 

West Arthur Community Centre is hosting a Pancake Breakfast followed by Skating and a Bonfire! For tickets call 625-8463.  Adult $10.00, Child 6 and younger $6.00.  Tickets sold at the door Adult $12, Child $8 Breakfast will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a skate and bonfire until 12:00 p.m.  

Fort William Historical Park is holding a Voyageur Winter Carnival this Family Day Weekend! head out and enjoy plenty of fun indoor and outdoor activities, including sledding and tubing hills, winter games and contests, visiting the farm animals, and much more! Full details at fwhp.ca

Fundraisers 

A Taste of Scotland, a Scotch Tasting fundraiser event is being held for Port Arthur Branch No. 5. in the Imperial's Memorial Lounge, doors open at 6 p.m., event begins at 7 p.m. Lunch provided, plus prizes. Tickets are non-refundable and are available for purchase in the Clubroom bar. $100.00 for tasters, $30.00 for non-tasters, 19 +. Port Arthur Branch No 5, 229 Van Norman Street 

Theatre: 

Eleanor Drury's Children Theatre presents: Shakespeare High, A Midsummer Night's Mixup! It's another day at Shakespeare High. All the characters are busy getting ready to compete in the yearly talent competition and tensions are high. This adaptation of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream empowers the characters to express who they are and get what they want. With a fun, 90's high school twist! Something Rotten at Badanai Theatre (Paramount). Something Rotten features large song and dance numbers, and a wacky cast of over-the-top characters, each given his or her own special moment in the show to shine. Throughout its Broadway run, the musical received a show-stopping standing ovation from audiences... in the beginning of the first act!
