Markets:
The Thunder Bay Country Market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition: 425 Northern Ave. head on down to buy local groceries, crafts, and gifts from the talented, hard-working local people who created them.
The Peddlers Pop-up Market is happening at the hub Bazaar on Victoria Ave East from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The hub Bazaar is a business incubator with anchor vendors and pop-up peddlers every Saturday! There's a cafe, eatery and even a museum!
Visit Northern Nature Trading, a special kind of swap shop! Bring in items you've found in nature and trade them for things in the collection. You can trade things made by nature like rocks, shells, fossils and pine cones. Trading is based on points; you are awarded points for what you know about your item, what makes it different from similar ones and the quality (clean, good condition). Festivals:
It’s time again for RibFest! Head down and eat some delicious food, and stay to enjoy shopping with vendors, play in the children’s area, and enjoy the amazing live bands in the beer gardens all in support of Our Kids Count! 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the CLE grounds!
Library Events:
The Thunder Bay Public Library presents: Story Time With Thunder Bay Drag Queens at the Mary J. L. Black Library (901 Edward St. S.). 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event welcomes all ages and is family friendly and free to attend (limited seating capacity). Story Time with Thunder Bay Drag Queens features local drag artists, Lady Fantasia LaPremiere & Mz. Molly Poppinz as they read stories and do activities while fostering acceptance and appreciation of diversity.
