Markets:     

The Thunder Bay Country Market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition: 425 Northern Ave. head on down to buy local groceries, crafts, and gifts from the talented, hard-working local people who created them.            

Visit Northern Nature Trading, a special kind of swap shop!  Bring in items you've found in nature and trade them for things in the collection. You can trade things made by nature like rocks, shells, fossils and pine cones. Trading is based on points; you are awarded points for what you know about your item, what makes it different from similar ones and the quality (clean, good condition). Lakeview Presbyterian Church, 278 Camelot St., will host a Christmas Dessert Tea and Bazaar from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. A variety of specialty desserts will be offered along with tea and coffee. Featuring Crafts, Baking and Twoonie Plus tables. Tickets are $7.00 and will be available for purchase at the door. Wheelchair accessible at the parking lot entrance. 

Remembrance Day Events: 

The annual Waverley Park Remembrance Day ceremony will begin at 10:20 a.m. with the vigil guard at the Cenotaph. The ceremony is planned to conclude at 11:15 a.m. with the parade marching off. 

Fort William First Nation is hosting a Remembrance Day ceremony on Anemki Wajiw starting at the Mt McKay Cenotaph at 10:15 a.m. Following the ceremony, a luncheon will be served at the community centre from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. 

The Royal Canadian Slovak Legion Branch 129 Remembrance Day Ceremony  will be held at the Slovak Legion in the Legion Main Hall starting at 10:30am. The Royal Canadian Slovak Legion Branch 129 Remembrance Day Ceremony is indoors and fully accessible. Remember to proudly wear a poppy as a tribute to all who fought, and those who continue to serve as part of the Canadian Armed Forces, and those who died to ensure we have the freedoms we do in Canada today!
