Ontario Winter Games:

The Ontario Winter Games run from Feb. 16 to 26 at sporting venues across Thunder Bay. As Ontario’s largest multi-sport events, the Games are a showcase of amateur sport in Ontario and provide top young athletes with development and competitive opportunities to prepare them for national and international competition. 

Saturday's Ontario Winter Games events include Archery, curling, hockey, fencing, 5 pin bowling, artistic swimming, and biathalon. View the Ontario Winter Games website for a detailed schedule

Children and Family events:

Join Lakehead researchers, departments and community partners for a FREE day of interactive experiments, demonstrations, an art exhibit and fun activities everyone will enjoy! Learn about the inspiring work Lakehead and partners are doing in the community and beyond. Thunder Bay Science Festival presents: Science Carnival. This FREE one-day community event at Intercity Shopping Centre provides people of all ages with the opportunity to participate in engaging and fun science, innovation, art, technology, and Indigenous knowledge-based activities. Visit the exhibitors showcasing hands-on presentations, labs and attractions, highlighting the science going on in and around the Thunder Bay community. Also, enjoy spectacular live science shows and entertainment! 10 a.m. 3 p.m.
