THUNDER BAY -- The only thing better than a night out with the ladies renewing wardrobes together is knowing the party supports a good cause.

For the third time in four years, "Who Gives A Frock" will return on Feb. 11, bringing women and their dresses together for food and drink at Autohome.

The event will feature six themed live auction packages with dresses attached to each of them from locally owned businesses in Thunder Bay, as well as the sale of gently used dresses.

"It's time for ladies to purge their closets, donate their dresses for a great cause and then come to enjoy a great evening," said George Jeffrey Children's Foundation executive director, Mary Anne Comuzzi.

"We're going to have a market. It's going to be 'new to you' so you can come and shop and buy the dresses and all the and all the proceeds will go to George Jeffrey Children's Foundation."

Only 175 tickets were printed out for the event and by noon on Saturday, half of those were already sold. Autohome co-owner Dave Jones expects those will sell out quickly.

"We're a large part of many different types of benefits but this benefit itself is quite interesting, even based on its name. We love to be a little irreverent and this certainly is," Jones said.

"It will be a large gathering of women that are there to have a lot of fun but also to support a great cause and do something they like to do: fashion."
