THUNDER BAY -- A winter weather advisory statement has been issued for the City of Thunder Bay.

According to Environment Canada, snow, with accumulations between seven and 14 centimetres, is expected to fall on the city, combined with northerly winds gusting between 60 and 70 kilometres per hour.

Reduced visibility and local blowing snow are also in the forecast, with possible flash freeze conditions.

The low-pressure system bringing the winter weather is expected to arrive late Tuesday night, with rain transitioning to snow overnight or early Wednesday morning.
