Woman charged in Yonge Street assault

Charges include aggravated assault, forcible confinement and breach of recognizance.

THUNDER BAY – A 42-year-old woman is behind bars, five days after an alleged assault sent a 40-year-old woman to hospital with serious injuries.

Jolene Lynn MacLaurin has been remanded into custody after being charged with aggravated assault, forcible confinement and breach of recognizance in the incident, which took place on July 18 on Yonge Street at West Gore Street.

The investigation continues.
