THUNDER BAY — A Thunder Bay woman facing drug trafficking charges has been released from custody with conditions following a court appearance by audio on Wednesday.
Amanda Yvonne Owen, 22, of Thunder Bay is charged with possession of fentanyl and oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking.
Owen is one of five people facing charges following a drug trafficking investigation at a Limbrick Street residence on Nov. 15 where police seized suspected fentanyl, pills, cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Owen was released on conditions by a justice of the peace on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
Her conditions include not to communicate with any of her co-accused, not possess or consume any drugs or drug trafficking paraphernalia and not to be found within 25 metres of a Limbrick Street residence. She was released without a surety and a promise to pay $250.
Owen was arrested following an investigation at a Limbrick Street residence on Nov. 15. Police were called to the residence after receiving information of a possible home takeover shortly after 11 a.m. Officers learned unwanted individuals were inside the home and trafficking illicit drugs, according to a previous police media release.
Owen, Anthony Nicholas Kaplanis, Nathaniel Joshua Matthews, Dana Florence Ann Nobis, and a 17-year-old male youth from Brampton were all arrested by police and charged with drug-related offences.
Nobis was granted bail on Monday, Nov. 23.
Owen is scheduled to appear in court next on Dec. 9.
