Woman charged with uttering threats

WAWA, ON—Ontario Provincial Police have charged a resident of a Kenora-area First Nation after an incident Tuesday in Wawa.

Police say officers were called to a local address to investigate a dispute, and found that there had been an altercation between a woman and two males.

They arrested a 36-year-old woman from Wabaseemoong First Nation on charges of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking.

The suspect was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
