Woman hit by train receives non-life threatening injuries

A 36-year-old-woman from Kenora received non-life threatening injuries after a train struck her while walking along the tracks. OPP officers received a call around 7 p.m. Tuesday that a train struck someone Railway Street near 16th Avenue North.

A 36-year-old-woman from Kenora received non-life threatening injuries after a train struck her while walking along the tracks.

OPP officers received a call around 7 p.m. Tuesday that a train struck someone Railway Street near 16th Avenue North. Police say two people were talking along the tracks when a westbound CP Rail train struck the woman.

Paramedics took her to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
