THUNDER BAY - One woman was sent to hospital and another woman is in custody following an alleged assault on the city’s north side.
According to a Thunder Bay Police Service media release, officers responded to the 600 block of Langworthy Crescent Tuesday morning at approximately 3 a.m. after receiving reports an injured woman.
The woman was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and she remains in hospital in stable condition.
Following an investigation, police determined the woman’s injuries were the result of an assault and a female suspect was identified and arrested.
Police said the victim and the accused were known to each other.
