Thunder Bay Police received a call at 2:15 a.m. on May 8, 2016 for assistance at an apartment in the 100 block of South Cumberland Street.
When officers arrived they provided assistance to a 68 year old male who had been stabbed by a female in his apartment.
Officers located the female in the apartment and arrested her along with another male who was also present. The individuals in this incident were known to each other and alcohol was a factor. The victim was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Meredith Achneepineskum, 45 years old has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Breach of Probation. She was remanded into custody. 37 year old Nazareth Kwandibens has been charged with Obstruct Police and Assault Police. He was released with a future court date.
