A young man who escaped from the Kairos Youth Facility on July 18 has turned himself in to the Thunder Bay Police Service.
The 19-year-old was serving time for an incident that took place while he was a youth. His escape became the subject of a public alert by city police on Friday.
Police say the youth turned himself in without incident this morning at the city police station.
The youth now faces a charge of escaping lawful custody.
