Youth attacked, robbed and held against his will during Kenora robbery

(KENORA, ON) On Saturday June 18, 2016 at approximately 11:00 pm, members of the Kenora detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an overdue youth in the downtown area.

(KENORA, ON) On Saturday June 18, 2016 at approximately 11:00 pm, members of the Kenora detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an overdue youth in the downtown area.

Police immediately searched the area and the male was located a short time later. Upon locating the male, police determined he had been assaulted, robbed and held against his will.

The male had Canadian Currency and electronics stolen from him. He sustained non-life threatening injuries.

As a result of this investigation a 34-year-old and 21-year-old have been charged with the following contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada:

• Robbery with Weapon
• Assault
• Assault with a weapon
• Forcible confinement

A male youth has also been charged with:

• Robbery with a weapon
• Uttering threats-cause death or bodily harm
• Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking Given by an Officer in Charge
• Assault
• Assault with a Weapon
• Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
• Forcible Confinement

They have all been held in custody pending bail hearing in Kenora Court on June 20, 2016.
