Animal services suspends dog adoption amid parvovirus outbreak
A parvovirus outbreak has forced the city’s animal services to temporarily stop the dog adoption program. In a news release issued Monday afternoon, the City of Thunder Bay confirms that two dogs have been infected with the virus.

Highway crash near Hearst kills Thunder Bay man

Apartment fire leads to arson charge
A West Frederica Street fire has landed a 24-year-old man in jail. Thunder Bay Police say firefighters quickly brought the blaze, which started at around 3 a.m. Sunday, under control. The small blaze caused minor damage to an apartment unit.
