THUNDER BAY -- The Dew Drop Inn has Christmas dinner covered thanks to its volunteers. On Monday the Red River Road kitchen was bursting with volunteers peeling potatoes and getting ready to carve up a dozen turkeys in time for dinner Tuesday.

Kettle campaign rallies, collects $174K

The Salvation Army’s kettles were overflowing with community support by the time their annual campaign came to a close. The charity surged well past its $160,000 goal, collecting $174,706 when the final numbers were tallied.

Woman struck by vehicle released from hospital

THUNDER BAY -- A 63-year-old woman has been released from hospital after being struck by an SUV. Police say the vehicle had just turned off Arthur Street and onto Edward Street when it came into collision with the woman Sunday evening.

IGNACE, Ont. -- A 32-year-old man is dead following a two vehicle crash on Highway 17 east of Ignace. Officers with the OPP are investigating the the collision that happened early Sunday night on Highway 17.
