Thunder Bay curlers hold their own at the Northern Ontario provincial men’s play-downs in Schumacher.

Brian Adams Jr. continues to lead the pack after edging Dan Lemieux’s foursome 6-4 in Thursday’s evening draw, improving to 4-0 in the process.

Bryan Burgess grabbed sole possession of second place, scoring once in the extra end to knock off fellow Thunder Bay skip Trevor Bonot 7-6. Burgess is 3-1 after four draws, while Bonot slipped to 1-3.

On Sheet D, Dylan Johnston pulled into a four-way tie for third, holding Jeff Currie to one in the 10th to score an 8-7. Both Thunder Bay rinks are 2-2, tied with Robbie Gordon and Mike Jakubo. Gordon slipped past Jakubo 8-6 on Wednesday.

Adams Jr. takes on Gordon and Bonot on Friday while Burgess plays Currie and Lemieux. Currie also has a date with Jakubo, while takes on Bonot and Gordon.
