Toppers Pizza Bantam Fury play for Skate for the Roses American Consolation Title

STILLWATER, Minn. – Thunder Bay Toppers Pizza Bantam Fury moved into the consolation championship game to play against Omaha in the Skate for the Roses tournament in Stillwater, MN.

Fury came out strong in the first period with Mylee Zechner scoring at the nine minute mark to put Fury up. 

With two minutes left in the first, Thunder Bay came out hard again with Samantha Nordland feeding a beauty pass up to Mikalea Green who tossed the puck to Haley Cote-Stenlund to put it in the net in the under-14 bantam division.

Omaha was not going to back down easily, with two minutes left in the third, Omaha tied the score putting the game into overtime. 

Fury fought hard but Omaha took the consolation championship in OT winning 3-2.

Femke Attema started in net for Fury stopping 25 of the shots she faced.
