It turns out he's a pretty decent basketball player too. On Thursday the Westgate Tigers star dropped 15 points to lead his squad to a 46-32 win over St. Patrick in the lone senior high school boys basketball contest of the afternoon.

Adam Goose had 11 for the Saints.

The undefeated Tigers were just as impressive, if not more, on the junior boys side, riding 15 from Jordan Shonosky and 14 from Mitchell Jackowski as they humiliated the Saints 61-18.

In other junior boys action, Austin Rapinda netted 18 to lead Churchill past St. Ignatius 9-32 and Keenan Postans had 19 in Hammarskjold's 57-26 win over Superior Collegiate.

On the senior girls volleyball court, Hammarskjold squeaked past La Verendrye 2-1 and Westgate blanked St. Ignatius 3-0, while on the junior side it was St. Patrick over Westgate 3-0 and Hammarskjold over Superior 3-0.
