Lakehead capped off a perfect three game run at the Ryerson University National Invitational Tournament with a 83-67 win over the Sheridan Bruins in Toronto on Monday.

Rookie point guard Henry Tan scored a game-high 28 points, with 19 coming in the first half, to propel the Thunderwolves to victory.

Lakehead jumped out to a 34-23 halftime lead before the Bruins implemented backcourt pressure to trim the deficit to six after three quarters. Lakehead committed 28 turnovers throughout the course of the game.

Sheridan closed to within five in the late stages of the fourth before fouls and turnovers allowed the Thunderwolves to expand the lead.

Anthony McIntosh collected a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds and Igor Lebov added 13 points to go along with 9 boards. Lakehead out performed Sheridan on the glass by a 54-32 margin, with McIntosh and Lebov responsible for snagging 10 offensive boards.

The Thunderwolves had previously defeated Montreal and Laval during the first two days of the tournament.

Lakehead (3-7) will resume their OUA campaign with a home series at the Thunderdome on Jan. 10-11 against the Waterloo Warriors.
