Led by 14 points from fifth-year forward Steven Wesley, the Winnipeg Wesmen cruised to a 75-64 win Friday night over the visiting Lakehead Thunderwolves.

Anthony McIntosh led LU with 13 points and three steals, while Igor Lebov scored a double-double for the pre-season basketball contest, scoring 12 points and adding 12 rebounds.

"We gave up too many offensive boards throughout the game and continued to turn the ball over which has been a huge issue for us. If we clean up those two key areas, we'll have a chance to be in games at the end,” said Lakehead coach Matt Erdman in a release.

Lakehead takes on Manitoba on Saturday night.
