Border Cats, Bucks washed out again

Ernie Banks would be loving Thunder Bay right about now. If Mr. Cub, famous for saying, “Let’s play two,” was a Thunder Bay Border Cats fan, he’d be getting his wish on back-to-back days.

Heavy rains have once again forced the Cats to postpone their Northwoods League contest against the visiting Waterloo Bucks.

The two teams were scheduled to play a double-header at Port Arthur Stadium on Wednesday night, but soggy conditions mean they’ll play a pair on Thursday and a pair on Friday.

Both twin-bills will begin at 6:05 p.m. and last seven innings apiece.

The Cats and Bucks were also rained out on Tuesday night.
