Lakehead basketball’s Greg Carter is once again the OUA West defensive player of the year.

The Ottawa native, who is preparing for Friday’s Wilson Cup seminfinal against his hometown Carleton Ravens, nabbed the trophy for the record-breaking fourth consecutive season.

The fifth-year guard helped the Wolves hold teams to a division-lowest 68.5 points a game, and finished second in the league with 45 steals.

Windsor’s Lien Phillip was named player of the year, while McMaster’s Rohan Boney took rookie of the year honours. Guelph’s Dan McCarthy won the Ken Shields Award, while Windsor’s Chris Oliver earned coach of the year.
