The B.C. basketball squad took it to the Wolves early and often on Friday night, coasting to an 88-70 pre-season win in Abbotsford, B.C.
Kyle Grewal led all scorers with 31 points.

Alex Robichaud and Anthony McIntosh led LU with 12 and 14 points respectively, a game that saw the Wolves play without starting pivot Yoosrie Salhia, sixth-man Joseph Jones and Ryan Thomson, who sat out the entire second half with injury.

"We were a shorthanded team that ran into a talented starting five that was really feeling it tonight. I was disappointed in our game plan execution to start the game and second half. When you play a top ten team missing two starters you have no choice but to execute the game plan to near perfection.

At the same time I was quite pleased with the effort of our young bench who played even with UFV's starters for the last 15 minutes of the game,” said Lakehead coach Scott Morrison in a release.

The Wolves take on UBC on Saturday, their seventh game in 10 days, to wrap up preseason play.
