THUNDER BAY -- The Thunder Bay Border Cats have added a pair of Division 1 pitchers to the roster.
Marcus Failing and David Manasek will be making their way north of the border, hailng from the University of Albany and Fordham University respectively.
In his first year at the University of Albany, Failing has notched 14 strikeouts in just 21.2 innings pitched over five appearances. Before Albany, Marcus attended Herkimer Community College in Herkimer, N.Y., where he was credited with four wins in eight appearances and 32 innings.
The New York native notched 32 strikeouts and attained a 3.38 ERA in his 2014-15 season.
Manasek made an immediate impact in his first year at Fordham last year making 19 appearances, striking out 32 while only allowing 28 hits in 32 innings, finishing with a 5.06 ERA.
The Pennsylvania native has started the 2016 season strong with three strikeouts in three innings pitched.
