Cats sign reliever Kade Kryzsko

Right-hander has put up stellar numbers at the University of Indiana.

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Border Cats are starting to build a roation.

The Northwoods League team on Friday announced it has signed reliever Kade Kryzako, a junior at the University of Indiana.

Kryzsko has appeared in 10 games for the Hoosiers and has a 1.84 ERA with 16 strikeouts in 14.2 innings pitched.

The 6-foot-2 right-hander from Kent, Wash. posted a 5-1 record with a 1.77 ERA pitching three complete games as a starter for Lower Columbia College.

The Cats home opener is scheduled for June 3.
