BRAINERD, Minn. – The Thunder Bay Border Cats three-game winning streak came to a crashing halt on Monday night.

Buoyed by two-RBI performances by Cameron Eden and Shane Selman, the St. Cloud Rox made easy work of the Cats, downing their Canadian rival 5-1 at Mills Field in Brainerd, Minn., the second neutral-site location hosting Thunder Bay this season.

Border Cats starter Brandon Williamson was tagged with the loss, giving up three runs in five innings of work that saw him strike out five and walk two.

Colin Rosenbaum, hitting a lofty .375 this season, had a run-scoring single for Thunder Bay in the bottom of the ninth, scoring Gabriel Lozada from third.

Rox starter Jack Cushing went six strong shutout innings, allowing just four hits before giving way to the bullpen.

Michael Bohlke finished things off for the Cats, pitching the final four innings, giving up two runs on seven hits.

At 3-4, Thunder Bay is two games out of top spot in the Northwoods League’s North Division, where four teams are tied with 5-2 records.
