The Des Moines Menace are still clinging to life.

The Des Moines Menace are still clinging to life.

The Premier Development League squad on Friday handed the Thunder Bay Chill just their second loss of the season, snapping a nine-game win streak in the process and move to within two points of second-place Real Colorado in the Heartland Division.

Kasy Kiarsh was the hero for the Menace, scoring in the 90th minute to seal the 2-1 victory.

Teammate Logan McDaniel put Des Moines on top in the opening minute, before Sullivan Silva tied it for the Chill (11-2-0) in the 64th.

The Menace also got help from the Kansas City Brass, who hammered Colorado 5-0 on Friday. Des Moines now holds a game in hand on Colorado, who end their regular season on Saturday against Kansas City.

Des Moines and Thunder Bay will also face off on Saturday.
