Chill off to blazing start with commanding win over Winnipeg

WINNIPEG - The offence was red hot for the Thunder Bay Chill in their season opener. The Chill kicked off their Premier Development League campaign with a 5-1 road victory over WSA Winnipeg at the Waverley Soccer Complex on Friday night.

The Chill kicked off their Premier Development League campaign with a 5-1 road victory over WSA Winnipeg at the Waverley Soccer Complex on Friday night.

Midfielder Chris Jones tallied a pair for the Chill while Ross Lindsay, Daniel Farias De Oliveira and Pedro Adan also found the back of the net.

Winnipeg's Moses Danto was the lone scorer to beat Chill keeper Daniel Milton.

Winnipeg falls to 0-4-0 on the campaign.

The two teams meet again on Saturday.
