Chill open season with dominant 6-1 win

The Thunder Bay Chill opened their season with a lopsided win over the Kansas City Brass Friday. The Chill put in six unanswered goals in the 6-1 win at William Jewel College in Liberty, Missouri.

The Chill put in six unanswered goals in the 6-1 win at William Jewel College in Liberty, Missouri.

Gustavo Oliviera opened scoring in the seventh minute and the Chill never looked back. Oliviera and strike partner Brandon Swartzendruber ended the game with two goals and one assist each.

Andrew Marinez took on the role of playmaker with two assists and one goal. Coady Andrews scored the loan goal for the Brass.

The Chill head to Rochester Saturday to face the Thunder in a two-game series, with the first game on Saturday at 8 p.m., followed by the second game on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Those two games will take place at Rochester Technical Community College.
