Chill win second straight on road trip, down Kokomo 3-1

KOKOMO, Ind. -- Make it two-for-two for the Thunder Bay Chill to start a daunting five-game road trip.

KOKOMO, Ind. -- Make it two-for-two for the Thunder Bay Chill to start a daunting five-game road trip. 

Anthony Putrus and Sullivan Silva scored first-half goals on Monday night to lead the Chill to a 3-1 triumph over the host Kokomo Mantis, improving to 6-2-1. 

Chris Jones scored in the second for Thunder Bay, Hugo Sanches repsonding for the Mantis (4-6-1). 

The win moves Thunder Bay within three points of second-place Chicago in the race for the second and final playoff berth in the Premier Development League's Heartland Division. The Chill, who take on Chicago on Tuesday and Thursday in the Windy City, have two games in hand.
