Jeff Currie's rink rough ride record-wise at the Tim Hortons Brier continued Tuesday monring.

The Thunder Bay rink, which includes Jamie Childs, Colin Koivula and Mike McCarville, dropped an 8-5 decision to provincial rival Ontario in the morning draw to fall to 2-4 at the men's national curling championship.

Currie led 2-1 through three ends, but North York's Greg Balsdon took the lead back with two in the fourth and stole another in the fifth to go up 4-2. Currie got one back in the sixth, but gave up two more in the seventh. The teams traded two-spots in the eighth and ninth.

The result leaves Fort William Curling Club representatives in a two-way tie for eighth with Newfoundland and Labrador's Brad Gushue.
