Former Thunder Bay Border Cats infielder Chris Curley is on the move.

Curley was selected Thursday in the minor league portion of Major League Baseball’s Rule 5 draft from the roster of the Chicago White Sox by the Los Angeles Angels.

Curley was a member of the 2008 Northwoods League champions, and hit .286 with five homeruns and 53 RBI playing for the White Sox’s AA franchise in Birmingham.

As a minor-league Rule 5 selection, Curley is not required to remain on Los Angeles’s major-league roster.

“(I) Want to thank the (White Sox) for the opportunity they gave me. I'm excited to join (the Angels) organization for this new opportunity,” Curley said on Twitter.
