Divers from Thunder Bay Diving Club successfully challenged themselves at the Aspire Provincial meet held in Etobicoke this past weekend.

These divers were either first time competitors or competing new dives at higher levels; they beat personal bests and served as an example of the progress made this season. In her first competition, Abigail Tjong had a strong showing and placed 3rd in the Group B Platform event while teammate Lilah DePeuter excelled with a tight 164.55 on the 3 M event.

Sara MacMaster competed in her first Group C Platform event and finished with a strong 101.60 score. Sawyer Dennis had a great weekend and came home with golds in the Group E 1 M, 3 M, and Platform events. In the Group D category Oliver Luxton had a strong showing with a silver in the 3 M event, while teammate Kallikrates (Kall) Chornoboy also impressed and placed 3rd in both the 3 M and Platform events.

Group C diver Kobe Kostyshyn excelled this weekend with a tight 146.4 on the 3 M event and a 3rd placing on the Platform.

Head coach Rolando Prieto and coach Kamryn Knapton were happy to see the hard work and progress made by the team. This marks the last competition for coach Kamryn Knapton with the Thunder Bay Diving Club.

Head coach Rolando, the divers, and parents thank Kamryn for her dedication, energy, and encouragement over the years. She will be missed dearly by the club.
