Gardiman hat trick propels North Stars to shutout win

Matthias Gardiman had a hat trick and added an assist Tuesday night, leading the Thunder Bay North Stars to a 6-0 road win over the English River Miners.

Matthias Gardiman had a hat trick and added an assist Tuesday night, leading the Thunder Bay North Stars to a 6-0 road win over the English River Miners.

Taylor Santorelli had a pair of goals for the victors, while Daniel Delpaggio scored once and added a pair of helpers.

Nathanial Dupuis made 34 saves to pick up the shutout, his first of the season.

The Stars improved to 28-7-5 with the win. The first-year Miners dropped to 16-21-3.
