THUNDER BAY – Second-year forward Garick Gray is leaving the Lakehead Thunderwolves after being ruled academically ineligible to play.

Gray, a native of The Pas, Man., scored six goals and added five assists in 26 games for Lakehead in 2015-16, after arriving from a stint in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. He did not dress this season.

The move leaves the Wolves with 25 players on their roster, including 15 forwards.
