THUNDER BAY -- More than 1,000 players took to the ice over the weekend to support Camp Quality in a 3-on-3 hockey tournament.
The KC 3-on-3 Tim Hortons Tournament sold out with 107 teams participating in the four-day event.
The tournament was filled with fast-paced action as players skated hard during each 30-minute game.
The penalties and infractions were assessed on the fly and players were awarded with shootout shots at the end of each game.
A number of girl teams competed in the event as well.
This 3-on-3 tournament is considered a fun end to the hockey season as most teams are formed by friends rather than a seasonal competitive league.
