THUNDER BAY – The Lakehead Thunderwolves have landed the Manitoba Junior Hockey League’s top scorer.

Dexter Kuczek scored 37 goals and added 55 assists in 59 games playing for the Winnipeg Blues in 2017-18, scoring another 16 points in 12 playoff appearances.

He also led Winnipeg with 30 goals in 2016-17.

"I feel fortunate to be coming to Lakehead and to play for the Thunderwolves. I'm really looking forward to the start of next season,” the 21-year-old said in a release.

First-year Thunderwolves coach is excited to add someone with Kuczek’s scoring ability to a team that scored just 69 goals last season, the fourth fewest in the OUA.
