The slumping Lakehead Thunderwolves hockey squad finished their pre-season schedule on Sunday with their third loss in four outings.

Thunder Bay’s Travis Oleksuk scored a pair of goals, leading the University of Minnesota-Duluth Huskies to a 5-1 win at the Amsoil Arena in Duluth.

Mitch Fillman scored the lone Lakehead goal, evening the score 1-1 at the 16:30 mark of the opening period.

Jack Connolly, Adam Krause and Fort Frances’s Joe Basaraba notched the other UMD goals.

The Wolves open OUA play next weekend at home against the McGill Redmen.
