Former Fort William North Star goalie Carter Hutton made his American Hockey League debut on Saturday night.

Hutton, who spent four years with the University of Massachusetts-Lowell after graduating from the Superior International Hockey League, allowed two goals in a losing cause in his first professional game with the Adirondack Phantoms.

The Phantoms, who also allowed an empty-netter, fell 3-1 to the Norfolk Admirals. Hutton signed an amateur tryout contract with Adirondack earlier in the day. Hutton made up for it on Sunday, allowing three goals on 38 shots in a 4-3 win over the Hershey Bears.

Hutton, 24, led Hockey East with a 2.04 goals against average, .928 save percentage and four shutouts.

The Phantoms are the primary farm team of the Philadelphia Flyers.
