Carter Hutton is back in the NHL.

The Thunder Bay goalie got the call Friday from the Chicago Blackhawks, whose starter Ray Emery is feeling under the weather.
Hutton, a former Fort William North Star has a 17-9-3 record with the American Hockey League’s Rockford Ice Hogs, also spending time with the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye.

The 26-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Hawks on Feb. 24 and has been on fire ever since, going 7-1-1 with a sparkling .947 save percentage. Earlier this week he was named to AHL’s player of the week.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Lowell hockey program, Hutton has also spent time in the Philadelphia and San Jose organizations, acting as the back-up for the Flyers  in 2009-10 in an emergency situation, but failed to find the ice. He also spent time with the Sharks pratice squad during last season's playoff run.

The Hawks travel to Dallas on Friday to take on the Stars. Corey Crawford is expected to get the start in net.
