Dryden Ice Dogs forward Derek McPhail is suspended two games for a boarding incident in Game 5 that caused an injury to a Thunder Bay player.
Although, no penalty was assessed on the play, following a video review, McPhail is suspended under Supplementary Discipline.
He will miss Game 6 tonight and Game 7 (if necessary) of the semifinal series or Game 1 of the Bill Salonen Cup final, should the GM Ice Dogs advance.
This is the second suspension in the series under Supplementary Discipline.
Thunder Bay defenceman Joe Newhouse was suspended for Game 2 after a cross checking incident at the conclusion of Game 1.
