THUNDER BAY – The Dryden Ice Dogs scored four unanswered goals on Friday night and stunned the Thunder Bay North Stars with a come-from-behind win.

The four-goal outburst, which came over a 10-minute span, was part of a five-goal third period for the Ice Dogs, who entered the final stanza trailing 4-2.

Wyatt Lawrence, Eric Stout, Luke Bellerose, Trey Palermo and Bryce McDonald found the twine behind Brandon Bodnar in the North Stars net in the decisive period.

Brendan Gillis, Dillon Ward, Owen Belisle and Keighan Gerrie, who stretched his scoring streak to three games, scored for the North Stars.

Jacen Bracko and Chris Atanas added first-period tallies for the Ice Dogs, who got a 33-save performance from Logan Sawka between the pipes.

The loss drops the North Stars to 3-3-1, while the Ice Dogs have yet to lose in regulation, improving to 6-0-1.

The two teams will try it again on Saturday night at Fort William Gardens.
