Iron Rangers stop North Stars in shootout

Austin Frank, Jason Reynolds and Adam Schoenfeld all scored in a shootout, leading the Minneota Iron Rangers to an upset 5-4 win over the host Thunder Bay North Stars Friday night.

Thunder Bay's Matthias Gardiman sent the game beyond regulation with 2:02 left to play on the third.

Robert MacLean, Zach Grzelewski, Alex Vaillant also scored for Thunder Bay. Trevor Hoth, Drew Mills and Reynolds each scored for Erick Majerle earned the win in net for Minnesota, making 24 saves. Eric Mann made 33 saves in the loss.
