THUNDER BAY -- The Thunder Bay minor midget Kings are scheduled to travel to Toronto on Tuesday to begin competition in the 2017 OHL Cup Showcase Tournament.

Game action for Thunder Bay begins Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m. when they take on the Eastern Ontario Wild.

That will be followed by an 8:45 p.m. encounter versus either the Mississauga Reps or the Halton Hurricanes, who will be competing in a wild-card play-in game on Tuesday afternoon to see which club advances to meet the Kings.

After an off-day Thursday, Thunder Bay returns to the ice twice Friday.

First up will be a 9:45 a.m. match-up with a strong Toronto Marlboros side before the Kings conclude the round robin against the Ajax-Pickering Raiders at 3:30 p.m.

The top two teams, in each of the four divisions, will then move on to quarterfinal action Saturday.

Wrapping up Monday, the two remaining club will meet for the OHL Cup at 6:30 p.m. at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in downtown Toronto. This contest will also be televised live on Sportsnet Ontario.
