Lakehead has a trio of athletes running at Canada Games

Lakehead University has a trio of runners at the Canada Summer Games. Travis Roske, running for Saskatchewan, and Connor McGuire, running for Prince Edward Island, have qualified for the 1,500 metre final after races held Monday.

Travis Roske, running for Saskatchewan, and Connor McGuire, running for Prince Edward Island, have qualified for the 1,500 metre final after races held Monday. McGuire will also run in the men's 5,000 metre Friday.

Danielle Thiel, running for Saskatchewan, will be in the 5,000 metre women's race Friday.

Thunderwolves coach Kip Sigsworth said it's great to see Lakehead athletes competing on the national stage.

"This is a big meet and a stepping stone in many athletes developer's into international competition," Sigsworth said in a media release.
The Canada Summer Games are hosted in Sherbrooke, QC from Aug.2 til Aug.17.
