Lakehead hockey up 2 spots in national rankings

A coaching change and a weekend road split that saw the Thunderwolves take three of four points from Waterloo and Laurier has Lakehead climbing the CIS weekly top 10 ladder.

A coaching change and a weekend road split that saw the Thunderwolves take three of four points from Waterloo and Laurier has Lakehead climbing the CIS weekly top 10 ladder.

The Wolves (4-1-1), who dumped coach Joel Scherban last Thursday, jumped two spots in the rankings this week and sit at No. 8 in the nation.

The University of New Brunswick reclaimed top spot from the slumping University of Alberta, followed by Saskatchewan and UQTR.
Western (2-2-0), LU’s opponent this weekend at Fort William Gardens, slipped out of the top 10.
